I cannot fault Dr Fiona Jane Tsang-Wright, she was extremely polite, empathetic and considerate and totally efficient. She filled me with confidence in her ability to diagnose accurately and quickly put my mind at ease that the process had been thorough. She offered explanations and answered all of my questions with clarity and positivity and was able to offer advise.

I had a consultation with Dr Fiona Jane Tsang-Wright on 23rd of March 2021 at Wycombe Hospital Breast Unit where I was referred to by my GP to have the lump in my breast looked into. I found Dr Tsang-Wright to be very competent as well as reassuring - she listened to my concerns and answered all the questions I had and provided invaluable advice going forward. I received a first class service - Thank you Dr Tsang-Wright.

Miss Tsang-Wright was professional and informative but caring, she listened to me and I felt throughout that she had my best interests at heart. During my treatment so far, I have been consulted about the next steps and given the details I needed to make an informed decision about my breast cancer care. Even during these challenging times I have felt completely understood and cared for.

Profile

Fiona is a Consultant Breast and Reconstructive surgeon at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust as well as in senior management as the Trust Cancer Clinical Lead. She is a committee member for the Association of Breast Surgery.

She has an expertise in managing breast diseases and breast cancer. All her clinics are set up with the best patient experience in mind: she will examine the patient and then arrange for imaging to be done at the same appointment (One-Stop Clinic) as she believes that this enables her to reassure her patients as quickly as possible, and reduce the anxiety of waiting for tests. Her feedback is positive and she is proud that she can make the experience of attending her clinic as pleasant and straight-forward as possible.

Fiona is involved in all aspects of a patient's treatment, and particularly in the management of breast cancer in younger women. She uses refined oncoplastic techniques to give women the increased possibility of conserving their natural breast or for those needing a mastectomy, she is an expert in immediate breast reconstructions using an implant to create a natural breast shape. She also liaises closely with consultant plastic surgeons for autologous reconstructions such as DIEP / LD.

Fiona has worked in different healthcare systems around the world and uses the experience gained in Singapore, Hong Kong and Dubai for the management of her patients in the UK. She has a demonstrable record in medical management at national, regional and local levels.

Fiona is dedicated to medical education and mentorship. She sits on the Oxford Regional Higher Surgery Training panel, is a final year examiner at the University of Oxford, an Associate Professor at the St George's University in Grenada, and teaches students from Oxford University and the University of Buckingham.

Fiona is a caring and empathetic breast surgeon who is keen to tailor and individualise the treatment of breast cancer to each of her patients.
